IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Pain is the difference between what is and what you would like it to be. ~Pocket Sponsor
Today I am grateful...
  • that HP shows me daily how I need to monitor my thoughts
  • that today I need to concentrate on time management, all of a sudden my schedule is full
  • for sacrifices and rewards, patience and a well stocked spiritual life
  • that the day has started out with information that might make for a stressful day, but I will do my best not to whine and to stay in the day
Not until you have failed can you learn true humility. Humility arises from a deep sense of gratitude to God for giving you the strength to rise above past failures. Humility is not inconsistent with self-respect. The true person has self-respect and the respect of others and yet is humble. The humble person is tolerant of other's failings, and does not have a critical attitude toward the foibles of others. Humble people are hard on themselves and easy on others. I have quite a ways to go, but as my big ol' fat ego gets slimmer and slimmer, I am able to breathe more deeply and easily. Humility is very refreshing.
