I realized I had a body which can't tolerate alcohol, which is OK. except that I had a mind that can't leave it alone. I'd always said that I could take it or leave it alone - I couldn't do either. ~Doug D.
Today I am grateful...
- for the new topic on Sobriety Society
- for this cool, dark, damp Tuesday morning
- for all the eyes opening to the problem of global warming and those that participated in Blog Action Day yesterday
- for smooth river rocks to draw upon
- for God's consistency
- that Texas Art Supply never runs out of canvases
How many of us would presume to declare, "Well, I'm sober and I'm happy. What more can I want, or do? I'm fine the way I am." We know that the price of such self-satisfaction is an inevitable backslide, punctuated at some point by a very rude awakening. We have to grow or else deteriorate. For us, the status quo can only be today, never for tomorrow. Change we must; we cannot stand still. ~Bill W., Grapevine, Feb 1961
To err is human, but when the eraser wears out ahead of the pencil, you’re overdoing it. ~Josh Jenkins

I enjoy an overcast, rainy, or misty day when they happen. They make me feel cozy, and I enjoy the sunny ones more for having had the darker days. I'm grateful that my pencil is wearing out faster than the eraser so far today. Keep painting and posting, Scott!
I like the coolness this morning!
I loved the 1st quote...ain't it the truth?
TAke care today Mr. Butter Bean.
Dear Scott,
Haven't seen anything from Lisa lately. Is she ok?
My erasers have always (and still do) worn down before my pencils.
Oh well.
People who don't make mistakes, aren't doing anything.
I am so happy for this new weather experience. Not the flooding but the coolness. I am so ready for fall/winter.
Love you
Canvas? I feel the same way about my favoured brand of guitar strings. And chilli sauce.
Hope you have a good day.

I think it might be a bigger problem if your eraser were never used at all!
