IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

It's not the load that breaks you down; it's the way you carry it. ~Lena Horne

Today I am grateful...
  • for the opportunities this day holds
  • that once again I don't have to do things alone
  • that my cholesterol is still at 155 with the help of statins
  • for small daily challenges that keep me in practice

Nothing could be further from the truth! Humility is about speaking your mind, fighting
for your ideas and opinions, creating through effort, sweat and debate. The humble man's
ego is based on reality --- not fed on illusion. When he is wrong, he can admit it and is
open to the ideas of others. Humility is based upon a realistic self-love. ~Fr Leo

Hi Scott. Such a brilliant ACTIVE notion of humility in that quote from Fr Leo.

And the power of those litle daily challenges keeps working to change us. Incremental stuff after the big miracle. After the ecstasy, the laundry.

Love and a hug, the art blows me away.

I think a lot of people confuse humility with humiliation. I know I did. No one likes to feel humiliated. Humility, on the other hand, lets me approach life with a clearer method of seeing the truth in situations because I'm taking my ego out of the equation. I'm still working on this.
