IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Labor Day

One of the greatest necessities in America is to discover creative solitude. ~Carl Sandburg
Today I am grateful...
  • that it's a Monday holiday and it's quiet around here
  • that I can be a good brother to a good sister
  • that patience in the creative process is rewarded
  • to be one link, in the long chain of recovery
  • that my Higher Power has no interest in kicking your Higher Power's ass
I need to be alone. Being alone is not the same as being lonely. I need to be alone with me in order to love me, understand me, hear my needs and plan my day. Also solitude is a spiritual experience because it enables me to center on what God is doing and creating in my life. Solitude enables me to think and cooperate with His will for me in our world. ~Fr Leo

Dear Scott,

Solitude is, indeed, a pleasing state of being to me.

It has been a quiet, restful week.

My batteries are charged, I feel centered and peaceful.

Thank you for your art, your daily sharing and just being you.

Love you

Have a good day - and you will be happy to know that my God doesn't want to kick anyone's ass either.
