IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

09.26.07

Some days you will be shocked at how nasty and short tempered you are. You'll think, "This can't be me being so unreasonable." Yet it is. You may deny it's really you by jostling the blame on another, "If they hadn't...." No, your bad behavior is your fault. You have no excuse. Now, can you love you anyway? ~Pocket Sponsor
Today I am grateful...
  • for learned patience. To be able to forgo being unsatisfied until something (a painting) has reached the end. To be able to set aside my need for instant gratification.
  • that I do not have to associate myself with the feelings (or actions) of others--I can instead practice empathy
  • that today I can be who and what I am with out prejudice
  • to remain grateful for the character defects that have been removed and be willing to be willing to recognize the ones left
  • that today is a great day to be sober and in recovery
May I have a generous heart and the time to see the needs of those around me. ~Fr Leo

Dear Scott,

Patience, I so need to learn, acquire, develop, whatever it takes to have it !

I need a complete "overhaul."

Yet, I resist changing.

It's a GREAT day for me to let others practice their own lives. I can't even handle my own.
