IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Do not be hung up on what you ought to be, what you were supposed to be or what you were going to be. You will never have time to be what you are. ~Pocket Sponsor
Today I am grateful...
  • that although at the moment my mind and emotions are a bit muddy, the day will bring some clarity
  • for serenity maintenance
  • that with minimum effort I can be loving today
  • for my globe flip calendar. It used to sit on top of my grandparent's television and Daddy Ross would turn it everyday.
  • to have a fairly simple lifestyle and have more than I need
If we hurt from the pain of our defects, we can remind ourselves of the nightmare of addiction, a nightmare from which we've now awakened. We can recall the hope for release the Second Step gave us. We can again turn our will and our lives over, through the Third Step, to the care of the God of our understanding. Our Higher Power cares for us by giving us the help we need to work the rest of the Twelve Steps. We don't have to fear our feelings. Just for today, we can continue in our recovery. ~NA Just for Today

Dear Scott,

I love you ! It was good seeing you yesterday.

I am so thankful that, once again, I feel I am back with the world. It seems I have pulled back emotionally. I rarely know I'm depressed until I'm over it.

Have a wonderful Tuesday.

I cannot wait to experience this. Such truth said from others walking this path. Hey that's you!

I love that globe calendar. I have the elephant bookends, remember them? I bet you think of Daddy Ross often when you flip it.

I would love to see a picture of the globe calendar - I can't even imagine such a thing!

My guess is that the reason you can be loving with a minimum amount of effort, is because of serenity maintenance!
I like your calmness...it's contagious.
