[T]he disease of alcoholism inside of me is like gravity, just waiting to pull me down, A.A. and the Twelve Steps are like the power that causes an airplane to become airborne: It only works when the pilot is doing the right things to make it work. So, as I have worked the program, I have grown emotionally and intellectually. ~Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th Ed., p. 457
Today I am grateful...
  • that a power greater than me has done for me what I cannot do for myself for longer than I will ever realize
  • that as I begin and end this day I will have been given exactly what I need
  • that I have experienced more conscious life in 46 months than in 46 years
  • that I am not of a competitive nature
Believing we are alone or different cuts us off from others. Climbing over that protective wall of "differentness" is scary, but it is guaranteed to set us free. ~Today's Gift

Let's hear it for conscious living! Have faith that the work will pick up and that something wonderful is waiting just around the corner.

Love Casa Susanna.
Can't believe I never got here yesterday. And to think - I can probably visit you again in an hour and read a new Scott W. post!
