I'm not only one drink away from a drunk, I'm one drink away from maybe never being sober again for the rest of my life. ~Anonymous

Today I am grateful...

  • for the new topic posted on Sobriety Society
  • that Tammy Faye is now out of pain
  • that Higher power helps me cultivate healthier thoughts
  • that coffee can taste so incredibly good sometimes
  • that persistence and perseverance usually pay off, if I can wait a while
  • for 1342 days sober and 752 days as a non-smoker

A wonderful future can lie before any person who depends on God's power, a future of unlimited power to do good works. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

It is easy to love those who are at their best. But it is during those times we are unlovable that we may need love the most. And what a beautiful thing when we get it. And even more beautiful when we find the grace to give it. ~unknown

"But it is during those times we are unlovable that we may need love the most".

this is one of the many gifts i've received in sobriety.

happy for you to be a non-smoker, to not be chained...
