IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

What's so great about today? That's for you to decide, determine and fulfill. ~Ralph Marston
Today I am grateful...
  • that Phil has returned and has suggested the new topic at Sobriety Society
  • that I have stayed committed to posting a gratitude list daily. I get frustrated that others do not follow such commitments, but it's really not about me is it? Sometimes it is, but when I am really healthy it isn't. I do miss reading bloggers I used to read daily and I have stopped visiting daily those who don't post regularly.
  • that I am free to be where I am in my life, in my recovery and in my soul's journey. That freedom actually comes from the knowledge that I am free.
  • for the packed house at the nooner yesterday as Norris L told his story

Finally I [Bill W.]started to write. I set out to draft more than six steps; how many more I did not know. I relaxed and asked for guidance. With a speed that was astonishing, considering my jangling emotions, I completed the first draft. It took perhaps half an hour. The words kept right on coming. When I reached a stopping point, I numbered the new steps. They added up to twelve. ~Alcoholics Anonymous Comes of Age

Scott, your daily gratitude list is something that I strive toward. Yet, knowing that I am again writing one "most" days is pretty great for me! Thanks for being an ideal gratitude list writer in my life. I love reading them.

I am having HUGE problems with blogger.

I am also doubting my commitment to my blog... it seems so fruitless right now. You are not alone!

Dear Scott,

thank you for your "Go Girl" encouragement regarding my exercising this morning. That is very sweet and I do appreciate the support.

I like your blogs and like reading them. It seems to me that you have integrated CWG fully.

I feel myself letting my walls down as I get further along in the book.

I'll keep blogging the Gratitude List, please continue. Sometimes I run out of new things to say but so what? I'm committed, daily lists help keep that attitude in the fore of my mind.

Thanks for being you. I am so grateful to have you in my life !

I am grateful you visit me when you can. I wish I could blog everyday but with work, animals, and so much more it seems to get away. I can do only what I can do, long as I am sober I can stay connected with wonderful people in recovery via the blogging world and in my community.

I do love that you post everyday and are commited to your gratitude lists.
