Today I am grateful...
- for my sponsor who lines up things in such a natural way and allows me to see my own stuff as he guides me with his gentle spirit
- that although I am disappointed that none of the three pieces I submitted to an important show were accepted, I have the experience
- that if I am going to succeed then I have to put myself out there
- that life in sobriety has brought me such few disappointments
- that my Higher Power has given me talents
- that the first cut is the deepest, the others won't seem so bad
You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try. ~Beverly Sills

Gosh, my sister used to say that about expectations re:b-day gifts!
I am proud of you for putting yourself out there and you are dealing well with this temporary rejection.

Your time will come, just keep on pouring it out on canvas. Besides, we all love it!
