Recovery alcoholics must continue to have the freedom to select any quality of sobriety they choose. ~Walk in Dry Places

Today I am grateful...
  • that today I can question anything I want and have my own opinions. I love this quote by Father Leo: Then I learned that growth comes to those who are prepared to doubt or disagree with an existing system. God is to be found in the questions. Spirituality is discovered in the shades of life.
  • for friends that have been brought back to life
  • for the incredible support from loved ones not in the program
  • that I have no shame in admitting I am an alcoholic
  • that today I choose life
  • that my HP will lead the way through today

It's not enough to talk to plants, you also have to listen. ~David Bergman

Sometimes, we find ourselves doing all the talking. When this happens, we need to stop, think, and listen. When we do all the talking, we're trying to control what happens. But when we listen, we get better results. No one has to be in control. What a relief! ~Keep It Simple

"Recovery alcoholics must continue to have the freedom to select any quality of sobriety they choose" how profound ---and true. Scott I love you sayings, sometimes it just the one sentence that is so profound that I go.... WOW....

Also I wanted to comment, that I have personally learned the art of listening and it is truly amazing what you learn.

Have a really good day!

I've been amazed at how much more connected I feel when I really listen to what people share, especially in meetings. I don't do this enough, but when I do, I feel the presence of a Loving Groundedness (the word "God" seems to trite for this feeling).

As always, thank you for passing on this wisdom.

Peace out!
Kari
