Willpower tells me I must, but willingness tells me I can. ~Pocket Sponsor
Today I am grateful...
- that God gave me a mind which I can use to make decisions. I do not have to believe everything I hear or read. I can think for myself.
- that my nephew has decided to enter Lifeline, a three month residential recovery center. He told my sister he is actually looking forward to it.
- for prayers for the suffering. My and your prayers helped Ryan make that decision.
- to be able to corral my words before I go too far with my opinions
- when I am quiet and have an open mind my Higher Power can communicate easier with me
Part of my recovery program today involves me not looking "outside" for answers but looking within. The answer is not in the stars, not in fate - but rather in the destiny I create by the decisions I make today. I, and I alone, forge my future. ~Fr. Leo
