IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Alcoholic's National Anthem; "I was always on my mind...I was always on my mind" ~Ken D.
Today I am grateful...
  • that the hate filled voice of Jerry Falwell was silenced
  • for those brief moments when my Higher Power is almost tangible
  • for spiritual atheists
  • that when I can relax the world is not so taut
  • that my thinking is redirected daily
  • for a program of a spiritual nature that has helped me unlock more and more of the truth
  • for my new WD Passport portable external hard drive that will hold 120 GB (it was cheap! $97!) Now I have everything backed up and 105 GB of space left over.
We also fall into another similar temptation. We form ideas as to what we think God's will is for other people. We say to ourselves, "This one ought to be cured of his fatal malady," or "That one ought to be relieved of his emotional pain," and we pray for these specific things. Such prayers, of course, are fundamentally good acts, but often they are based upon a supposition that we know God's will for the person for whom we pray. This means that side by side with an earnest prayer there can be a certain amount of presumption and conceit in us. It is A.A.'s experience that particularly in these cases we ought to pray that God's will, whatever it is, be done for others as well as for ourselves. ~12 & 12

Hi Dahlink. Can't wait for the tell all biography that is sure to come out. "The Fallen Falwell"
Now to reverse his opinion of when bad things happen it is God getting back at us. Well, Jerry, you opened your mouth one time toooo many and Blap. DEAD! Bye.

Yep, old Jerry was a bit of a bully. It shocked me when I heard he had died however. I thought he would go on forever like Billy Graham.
