IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

...there exists among us a fellowship, a friendliness, and an understanding which is indescribably wonderful. ~Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 16
Today I am grateful...
  • that no matter how busy life gets, I have had time every morning for me and God
  • for the gathering of some members of the Sober Blogging Mecca (see source) where we met Mary Catherine, laughed over coffee, broke bread and other things and sat together in a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous. There are wonderful things to accomplish and wonderful people to meet along the path, and it was a delight to be in MC's company. As she quipped, "To these people I am truly related."
  • that this morning I get to have breakfast with MC and Dave

As I start this day with quiet meditation, I feel myself becoming still and at peace. At any time during the day I can bring my mind back to this moment. I will bring my attention and awareness back to the peace that I have when I am with my breath and I know that my breath is with me at all times, whether I remember it or not. ~Ruth Fishel
