IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

What assumptions have you already made about today, and why? Consider that some of those assumptions may no longer be accurate, and may very well be holding you back. ~Ralph Marston
Today I am grateful...
  • that although I went off my diet last night, today I am back on the horse
  • to share, with friends, the celebration of AP's birthday
  • that I got to sit with two four-year-olds and a two-year-old as they ate their dinner. They were so cute and sophisticated.
  • that although my allergies are acting up, they are nothing compared to when I was drinking and smoking
  • that I have a scheduled appointment with the doctor today, just coincidentally I am having allergy problems
My understanding of prayer is centered in the present moment because any understanding of relationship and communication, especially with God, must begin from where one is, rather than where one would like to be. Spirituality is the reality of the moment. ~Fr. Leo

It took me a minute to realize that the 2 & 4 year olds were children and not recovering alkies.
Just shows how we are conditioned to expectations or preconceived ideas. Thanks for todays post. I always enjoy them.

Those must have been some pretty impressive kids.

21 pounds! That's great! I've only lost 3.5 pounds since January, but I keep on trying. At least I was down half a pound instead of up after Easter.
