The six foot dining table I designed and DS had manufactured by a local craftsman. It's all inlaid veneers. The condo really turned out well. Very sophisticated and comfortable. From the front balcony the view was of the marina, Horseshoe Bay and the mountains in the background. But we both decided 4 hours (one way) was too long to drive for a weekend.
I didn't take many pictures. By the time we finished it was late in a day filled with frustrations. DS and I said the serenity prayer together in the elevator. We dealt with little men with little pencil dicks and self-entitled, smug and snide personalities. Disgusting. From start to finish it was a 15+ hour day.

Wow, that's beautiful. The table, condo, view, marina, Horseshoe Bay, mountains, DS and you are just beautiful.
Thanks to serenity prayer, those little men with little pencil dicks and self-entitled, smug and snide personalities means nothing to you both.
I hope you're over with your frustration and disgusted feeling by now.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful table. My wife loves it. She's wondering, can she make an order? I said yes, you can ordered it but only on photo!
(In my mind if we have that table ~ don't you ever let the chick(en) on it to have their meals.) This time I shall freak out!
Scott, that is gorgeous. Wow what a sense of accomplishment you must have. The design is very balanced,
just like your spirituality. And remember my dear, assholes with pencil dicks, etc. are assholes no matter the size. You are so far above them. But they will never forget your creativity. They will be reminded of it every day that they look at that table.
When the hubby and I start building our house, I want you to design our table!!! That's just incredible!! It'll be a year or two but that pic is permanently etched in my mind now!!! What a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and design!!!
Guess I should have been more specific about who gave us the attitude yesterday. It was the property staff, not the client. The client and his wife are lovely people!
That table is beautiful....I love marquetry inlay.
That is just lovely Scott! Your hard work really shows.
You don't however, want to point and laugh at a pencil dick.....or at least that's my experience.
Lovely.
Wow, Holy cow!!! You are such an amazing artist...I wnat that table too!!!
Scott, you are a role model to me, I love your constant reminder to be grateful, and I'm learning toignore the assholes today!
Love and HUGS to you
That really is something else.
I love wood. I like to be surrounded by wooden things - I have a [wooden] box fetish.
Thanks for sharing the pic. :)
You guys should have seen some of the early fashion designs he came up with, I mean when he was about 14 or so, incredible, such fashion sense......and I didn't even know he was gay then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that it matters that's for sure. He has enormous talent and I thank God he is able to provide for himself and Bunny using it. Believe me, he works hard but such satisfaction it must bring him.
the table IS amazing, and as said above, the design is very much like your spirituality. It has so much dimension and balance. I love wood work too..wood is so full of lovely surprises.
As for pencil dicks...they result in huge character defects in smug little men
