You may be the only copy of the AA Big Book that someone ever reads. ~Unknown origin
Today I am grateful...
- that I am now a non-smoker for 20 months (I noticed yesterday my old brand of cigarettes is up to $5.69!!!!!)
- that Bunny at least peed this morning before the rains picked up again
- for Margaret Cho and her right on, absolutely hysterical comedy. Last night we laughed and laughed and laughed.
- that if I don't finish this list before the severe weather that is almost over us I can save it as a draft (hail and straight line winds are approaching)
- that I get to crawl back in bed with Bunny and snuggle back to sleep
Hope is the key that unlocks the door of discouragement. The program promises me that if I do not pick up the first drink today, I will always have hope. Having come to believe that I keep what I share, every time I encourage, I receive courage. It is with others that, with the grace of God and the Fellowship of A.A., I trudge the road of happy destiny. May I always remember that the power within me is far greater than any fear before me. May I always have patience, for I am on the right road. ~Daily Reflections

Congrats on kicking smoking! 20 months! Kewl!
Yes, buck naked it is. But butt naked gives you more of a visual aid when speaking. I made it to work thru this storm. I'm jealous that bunny peed first....Theo looked at me like I'd lost my mind! Of course I was standing there butt ass naked.
You are officially 15 months, 2 days ahead of me in the non-smoking department. Congrats. You were the primary inspiration for me to stop my 36-year foray into tobacco usage.
Way to go on the not smoking. AND inspiring Daave.
I always look forward to reading your posts Scott, You gratitudes and hope are inspirational to me!
Congrats on kicking another vice out of your life (re: smoking)

Thanks for the tip on Gold Star and the story of Jonathon. No Patrick!
