
Here is the interior of the museum Matt and I visited yesterday. It is a steel structure inside a concrete structure. Inside the steel structue is the frosted glass chapel that houses a domed fresco and another partial fresco. It is superbly exquisite and has a serenity and a simplicity I find absolutely inspiring. Designed by Francois deMenil, you can see more if it here. Go to the Work area, then the Institutional area to see more pictures. His mother, Dominique, was one of the most important collectors of contemporary art. The Menil Collection museum is of her own making.
