When I dig another out of trouble, the hole from which I lift him is the place where I bury my own. ~Chinese proverb
Today I am grateful...
- to discover that after I got Blogger to remember me and being frustrated that it took 3 screens before I could sign in--I discovered this page for one stop sign in: https://www2.blogger.com/login.g . I have been researching why Blogger sometimes suspects non-spam blogs to be spam blogs and I haven't been able to find an answer.
- for the new topic on Sobriety Society
- for communication with the God of my understanding
- for the way things were and the way thing are today
For thousands of years we have been demanding more than our share of security, prestige, and romance. When we seemed to be succeeding, we drank to dream still greater dreams. When we were frustrated, even in part, we drank for oblivion. Never was there enough of what we thought we wanted. ~Step Seven, 12 & 12
Our very best thoughts won't save us. When we are given a program of action, it tells us what to DO, not what to think. Think anything you want, just DO the suggestions (your thoughts will change). ~Pocket Sponsor

Today I am going to base my dreams on reality while I WORK toward making them come true!
Kenny (Recovery Road) told me he got trouble to leave a comment on my blog. That was last night. Do you have any trouble, Scott W. I hope it will not last. I'm sorry to dAAve too.
Noor, There are no posts on you blog. Just the heading and some side stuff. So, no I cannot comment there.
I love that proverb!!! Such wisdom! the new blogger has been challenging me lately too! Thanks for the tip! I even lost all my links to all my sober blogger friends..... and I don't remember how to re-do them : ( I'll figure it out soon.......
That quote from the 12&12 reminds me of all of the literary greats that destroyed themselves with drink and drugs. There is a line of thought (if you can even call it that) that says that it was the drugs and alcohol that made them so creative. I can't help but wonder how much greater they would have been without their drugs of choice.
