IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Life is Not a Test

Surely you will meet some of us as you trudge the road of happy destiny...
Today I am grateful...
  • that Boston is telling her story at the Hump Day noon meeting
  • that I got to meet Pam, her daughter and Motorcycle Mike. And it was so great to hear Pam and Mike share their experience, strength and hope. I was so moved when Pam's daughter picked up a desire chip. How blessed we are to see stuff like that.
  • that Matt joined us afterwards and we all went to Starbucks to sit outside in our glorious weather. We got to laugh and make phone calls to other bloggers. We also shared a precious gift of the program, the fellowship of strangers who are not strangers.
  • for the high I was on last night from our activities
  • that my trust in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous lets me have the freedom through subtle instructions like: We will not regret the past nor wish to close the door on it.
  • that today and everyday I am enough

Having been granted a perfect release from alcoholism, why then shouldn't we be able to achieve by the same means a perfect release from every other difficulty or defect? This is a riddle of our existence, the full answer to which may be only in the mind of God. Nevertheless, at least a part of the answer to it is apparent to us. ~from the 6th step in the 12 and 12, pg. 64

If faith without works is dead, then willingness without action is fantasy. ~Unknown

I know for me, being able to keep in touch through Blogging has helped me to feel less alone... Tonight I went to a meeting, my HP pointed out that I needed one LOL
