IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

02.18.07

I cannot consider myself "different" in A.A.; if I do I isolate myself from others and from contact with my Higher Power. If I feel isolated in A.A., it is not something for which others are responsible. It is something I've created by feeling I'm "different" in some way. Today I practice being just another alcoholic in the worldwide Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. ~Daily Reflections
Today I am grateful...
  • for this bright and sun shiny Monday in February
  • for all the things I will forget today for which I am grateful
  • for rhymes from Boston
  • that Matt has today off and we had silly early morning IM chat
  • that last night's sugar cravings are gone this morning
  • that I am not afraid to do my part to keep me sober and happy
How many of the world's prayers have gone unanswered because those who prayed did not endure to the end? They thought it was too late, that they must act for themselves, that God was not going to guide them...If I endure, God will unlock those secret spiritual treasures that are hidden from those who do not endure to the end. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

A very good reading from the Daily Reflections.

Silly iChat conversations are the best. Mitch calls me the "iChat Queen." I had to tame it down. :)

Sugar Cravings? Blah. A new day.

Great readings today, eh? I read the 2nd one in the "God Calling" book, which I love, and the 24 hrs. book was based on. You sound happy today and I like that a lot!

I enjoyed our banter this morning as well! I wish we could do that all the time, but Daddy's gotta make a living. Bleh.
