IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

I will start a new life each day. I will put the old mistakes away and start anew each day. God always offers me a fresh start. I will not be burdened or anxious. If God's forgiveness were only for the righteous and those who had not sinned, where would be its need? ~Meditation from Twenty-Four Hours a Day
Today I am grateful...
  • for Kristin's new recovery blog Thy Will, Not Mine. Go say hello and read this powerful post: So when I hear speakers analyze there drinking, or there sobriety, thinking they figured out some deep intellectual reason why they drank, I just laugh & say a prayer for them. It doesn't matter if your parents beat you, or if you had a great childhood. Why spend time focusing on something you have no control over? All I know is I cannot take a drink in safety. That’s it.
  • that I have learned to not back down as easily as I once did
  • to see Beau AND Boston at yesterday's nooner
  • that I can give the custodianship of my life to my Higher Power
  • that I still trip and stumble thus making for a lifetime of work
  • that Bunny and I danced a lot yesterday to Confessions on a Dance Floor
He who cannot rest, cannot work; He who cannot let go, cannot hold on; He who cannot find footing, cannot go forward. ~Harry Emerson Fosdick

The cool thing is that you don't have to go to court to give "custodianship" of your life to your HP. :)

Thanks for pulling out Thywill's post, it is a great truth.

Oh how I would have loved to dance around with you and Bunny!!!
I was dancing in my kitchen last night too, but I was listening to Harlem Shuffle....and I was watching myself in the window reflection....and I thought I was quite sexy. My dog didn't join me though. He's probably not as limber as Bunny.
