new project

brass figures 1

I am painting two brass 7" Japanese figures for an interior designer friend of mine.
This picture is just the start and I thought it would be fun to show the before and after.
I didn't think about it until I had already started, and I will post the finished picture later.

There's nothing quite like a good piece of brass, especially when it's 7".

I bet that needs a steady hand.

I used to not have a steady hand, not the case anymore. It's just my eyes that keep changing.

Using Testors enamel paints, the stuff that comes in the itsy bitsy bottles we used to use on plastic models.
