Today I am grateful...
- that tears today are signs of LIFE
- for the analogy of AA being the dike that holds back the ocean of alcohol
- that I haven't seen a pay toilet in years
- for those who relapse and make it back, so I don't have to do the research myself
- that I am often repelled by what fascinates the general public
- for the lives I touch and the lives that touch me

Good morning Scott~
What a great list and I love what Elie had to say. Very good for my heart and soul right now.
Hope you have a wonderful Monday.
"the dike that holds back the ocean of alcohol"
No. No, I will not comment.
Oh, balls! Dave, go ahead!
Thank you for another simply lovely post Scott W :)
thank you darlin', your posts are always so thought provoking!
Wow. A pay toilet. I forgot about those. And I am glad they are gone.
what's a pay toilet? you had to actually pay to go to the bathroom?
Gah! Matt, it's where this phrase started:
Here I sit all disenhearted,
paid to shit and only farted.
Yes, there used to be pay to piss toilets.
those that make it back, is definitely cause for gratitude. b/c there are so many that do not.
ah I too have much gratitude for the people whose lives I touch & those who touch mine. I have gratitude for the fact that I can actually touch peoples lives in a good way & that I have something to offer.
thanks for reminding me.
