Today I will do my civic duty and report for jury duty at 8:00 AM in downtown Houston. They pay $6.00 that supposedly covers parking. The alternative to that is to take the city bus for free when you present your jury summons. The bus line is a block from here and will drop me a block from the jury assembly building. That's not so bad. I have some snack items to take, some reading material and a sketch book. So, guess that will determine my day. I am grateful I don't have to battle a hangover on top of all that or have any fears showing my ID. Who knows, maybe I will find some interest in the whole thing.
Hope you have a great day!
"When you stand outside a room where a group of Alcoholics Anonymous is meeting, the most frequent sound you hear is laughter. Mellow laughter, which can come only from people who have looked destruction and catastrophe in the face, not once but continuously over long years, and now are free and unafraid. The laughter, in short, of people who hold God's hand and feel safe." ~Letter to a Woman Alcoholic (A.A. Pamphlet P-14) - page 13

Have fun today! I can't wait to hear about your adventures. I'm going back to the dentist today, so I got to sleep in an hour later than usual.
Enjoy yourself today Scott. Gratitude-it's not you on trial. you can show your ID with no fear of warrents, and you can pass thru a metal detector....oh wait...that's my gratitude list.
Have a good day. It's all good.
Humbly yours from Malaysia
