HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Funny how Little we change...here's some stuff from 3 yr old child development site: 3 yrs olds can:
Count to three !! Understand perceptions. ( you're good at that) Like running, jumping, galloping (this I wanna see) Curious and inquisitive (yep that's you) Likes worlds of fantasy - very imaginative, like to pretend dress up (hmmmmmm ) Enjoy talking, especially about their own interests (don't we all?) Still egocentric - self is very important (duh!) Like to play alone, beside others ( we call them meetings) Anxious to please - like praise (well YEAH!!) Often cries easily (life is hard, tears are good) Developing independence and self reliance (Yes yes yes) talks so that 75 to 80 percent of his speech is understandable stumbles over words sometimes (I think you may be ahead of the game here) listens attentively to short stories and books ( well one book in particular) understands "now, soon, and later" (that would be HP talkin to you) asks who, what, where, and why (good, no more blind faith)questions differences (inquiring minds want to know) has good self-knowledge (you excel here) can say his age (see your post for proof!) CONGRATS !!!!!
Happy Birthday to the 3 year old NOW on to 4 years and always, always rememeber...2 days sober is NOT equal to 3 years sober no matter what you hear. :>)
So lets keep with continuous sobriety as IS God's will for us.

Scott, Happy 2rd Birthday my friend. I am glad to have met you, and glad you're in my life, even if it is in a remote physical sense. I am grateful to HP for your recovery, as yours has affected mine! You're a wonderful man and a really awesome example of living sober and the power of recovery!

Scott, you better be wearing your kaftan because I am coming over with lots of food! I am bringing italian sausages with red, yellow, and green peppers. We need cake! Who's bringing the cake?

Congratulations on your birthday! It only gets better and harder from here.The longer I stay sober the more I see I need to work harder, in my case. "Constant Vigilance!" my friends like to tell me.
Here in Montreal we celebrate birthdays with cake and a medallion from our sponsors. So have a piece of cake for me. Enjoy this wonderful day of clarity and joy.
I think I can whip up a cake real quick. Do you want chocolate? My preference is for white, but I know most people go for chocolate, and I make a killer chocolate cake.
good news! congratulations! you're covering a lot of ground by thinking of others and reading as much as you do. all the work we do is money in the bank for later. doesn't make life any less of a mystery, but it sure helps down the road to have that information and experience to hand. cool! keep on keepin on...
