IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

You won't get ahead by searching in vain for ways to quickly jump there. You will get ahead by using every opportunity to steadily and diligently work your way there, step after step after step. ~Ralph Marston
Today I am grateful...
  • that I only threw two small and very quiet fits last night when it took the valet 35 minutes to retrieve my car. I left the play early to avoid the crowds, gave them my ticket and stood and watched dozens of cars arrive before mine. And all without one apology. Did I have to work on letting that go? Of course! Did they get a tip? What do you think?
  • for the delightful play presented to us by a group of drunks
  • that today the reasons for me to not be totally happy are glitches in my own thinking
  • that I keep quiet when it doesn't make me feel any better when I share with someone what bothers me and their reply is 'Well, that doesn't bother me.'
  • that I continue to wander through my life a day at a time
  • for snippets of time spent chatting with Lynette
People are like stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within. ~Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Interesting to look at the circumstances that provided the opportunity for you and Lynette to spend that time together.

The quotes you share with us are so good. Maybe I will start a little file to save them in. Stained glass windows...hmmmm

Yeah, you still gave them a tip.

I have to laugh imagining you throwing silent fits :) For whatever reason, I am drawn to upper-crust snotties like that :) In a good way of course.

I just bet you were royalty in another life. And yeah, someone responding with "Well, that doesn't bother me" after you've just told them about something that does bother you sucks.

p.s. I am working on something for you to leave comments at the new place so you don't have to type them in each time. That's how much I adore you :)
