IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Seeking New Freedoms

No longer do we exclude ourselves from the flow of life; we become a part of it, and discover the fullness of what recovery has to offer.

I seek freedom from ego and the conflicts generated by self-will. I will try to improve my conscious contact with the God of my understanding, seeking the guidance and power I need to live in harmony with my world. ~NA Just for Today

Today I am grateful...
  • that though I woke pre-dawn when Bunny jumped off the bed, I will have time to take a nap before I leave to do some work this morning
  • for Alleve, it has helped somewhat to relieve this weird back pain I developed over the weekend
  • to have answers and solutions and to know where to go for them
  • for service commitments that keep me out of my head more than any other activity
  • that angst, anxiety and dread have lessened to such an extent that sometimes I can't find them

Clouds drift above the hustle of the world below, knowing they belong to another realm that cannot be affected by its frenzy, reminding us that peace is always available to us. By directing our vision beyond the ordinary, clouds also remind us of the illusion of appearances. While appearing to be solid, their vapor and mist appear like cotton balls from below, giving little indication of the heights they reach. Sometimes they may cast shadows, leaving us in shade, but like life's difficulties clouds change shape and move onward, revealing the shining sun, twinkling stars, and blue sky that are behind them. ~DailyOm

Perhaps your back pain is due to Bunny hoggin' up the bed . . . I see this happen a lot with my dog. :)

I am a strong believer of having Faith in the sun, that no matter what, it is always there and it will always rise. I really enjoy your spiritual readings you post.

Like Sober Chick said, I wonder if your back hurts from Bunny sleeping in bed with you? I end up in contortionist positions because of my cat, and I think it's why I always have a crick (sp?) in my neck.
