IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

October 30th

A great lesson we have to learn is how to wait with patience. ~12 and 12
Today I am grateful...
  • for being shown when I am being self-entitled
  • to be able to pick up the phone when an AA brother or sister calls
  • that I can make allowances for my body clock, which will be skewed for a few days since the time change
  • for Superstar in a Housedress, a story about Jackie Curtis in which an old acquaintance, Alexis del Lago, makes several appearances. It's great entertainment, rent it or TIVO it when you have a chance.
  • that today I have what I need and what I want
It is when we try to make our will conform with God's that we begin to use it rightly. To all of us, this was a most wonderful revelation. Our whole trouble had been the misuse of willpower. We had tried to bombard our problems with it instead of attempting to bring it into agreement with God's intention for us. To make this increasingly possible is the purpose of A.A.'s Twelve Steps. ~12 and 12
