People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering. ~St. Augustine
Today I am grateful...
- for the incredible staff at St. Lukes Hospital
- that we are learning small things that are good news, like a clear EEG, but there is still no evidence as to why Randall had this episode. He is resting comfortably, but is a bit scared.
- for all the prayers and healing thoughts from around the world. Thank you.
- that trust has let me remain serene
- for yesterday's rain storm. I had pulled over to answer the phone and the water was rushing down the curb to the storm drain, one of those large city issued trash cans walked by the car. It just wiggled back and forth like it was on a leisurely stroll.
- for the incredible technology in each room of the ICU. What the human brain can do is truly amazing. What is left undone by us humans is sad and frightening.
Let your thoughts be still for a moment and travel within to the Isle of You, that incredibly peaceful place inhabited by your Soul. As your breath eases in and out, and all the world around you fades away, you'll find yourself in the most restful, relaxing place on earth. And the nice thing is, you can go back any time you like. ~I can't remember where I read this, HA!
God does not want me to do extraordinary things; God allows me to do ordinary things extraordinarily well.
