Today I am grateful...

• for the time I got to spend with MJY yesterday. Friends that require no maintenance, that when you are together it seems like it was just yesterday you last saw each other, those with whom there is never any embarrassment or need to conceal...those are true friends.
• for Jim saying to me last night "I am glad we live in America" as we were leaving the hospital where we left Randall in ICU. The staff first thought he was septic, his breathing was once every twenty seconds, he was drifting in and out of consciousness and it was scary. After the fact we learned this had happened to him in Greece but was short lived each time. This episode lasted hours. When we left him last night the only confirmed diagnosis was pneumonia. Blood cultures take two days to grow, so we won't know some things for a couple days. Hopefully today will shed some light on the situation.
• that my Higher Power designed yesterday that I spend it with Ran so he would be safe
• that the day was physically exhausting, but I remained serene and trusting
• for your prayers and thoughts sent to Ran
• to have run into an old acquaintance that recognized my triangle within a circle bumper sticker, a straight woman, who may join us at Lambda
• for my Higher Power's grace that inspires me
