IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

The concept of living one day at a time simplifies my life enormously. I have to make sensible plans for my future, but I don't have to write scenarios about the outcome, and make myself anxious and fearful. ~Living in the Day
Today I am grateful...
  • that Designer Girl gets her first 30 days today
  • to have gotten back on my weekend schedule after a hectic Saturday
  • that Matt brought over Brutus and Skippy to play with Bunny. We had great conversation, drank lemonade and just hung out in the back yard under the shade of the giant azalea tree. And there was lots of humping (no, it was the dogs, silly).
  • that today I get to see my old friend Mai'Ling who has been living in Denver for years. We will pick up Randall and spend the morning/lunch together.

One of the good things about growing old, for some of us at least, is that we've lived long enough to realize that most worries don't materialize; most situations aren't as serious as we anticipate, and most people are more approachable than they first appear to be. Taking risks to share our thoughts gets easier the more we practice it. ~Keepers of the Wisdom

I LOVE that quote!! Thanks for sharing it, Scott. Thanks, too, for being my rock, for keeping me grounded, and for not giving up on me. You are the guru, my friend!
