IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

09.27.06

Let us take a break, sit by the river, and watch the current quietly flow. Let's just think, for a moment, about where the current is going, the shores it will brush on its way, the clouds reflected on its surface, the animals that come to drink from it, the bobbers it gently nudges downstream. Our lives sometimes seem like the river, wandering to the west, the south, back toward the east, seemingly without direction at all. Yet we can take comfort in this thought, for, like the river, we are always headed in the direction we are meant to go. Without trying, without knowing, we are part of the larger pattern of things, and we nourish many others just by passing through their lives. What shores will my life touch today? --from Today's Gift
Today I am grateful...
  • that Bunny woke me this morning at 5:30 when he got sick in the bed
  • that I don't know why I am grateful for this, but...when I brushed my teeth and took my Prilosec and 2-81mg aspirin I noticed my beta-blocker medication was not on the counter where it stays, next to the vitamins. I take those after I have eaten. Yesterday I counted how many were left and I would take the last one next Monday, and wondered if I should call in a refill as today I have a doctor appointment and could do that while I was there. But the bottle is gone, nowhere to be found. I have looked in all the obvious places, underneath things using a flashlight, checked Bunny's crate. I can't find it anywhere and it freaks me out that it could just disappear. I didn't call in the refill and it's not on the desk where it would have been if I had. I am concerned that Bunny not find it and think it's a toy and start to chew it up and accidentally swallow the remaining meds. That would not be a good senario. So, where is it? Maybe I am not grateful that the bottle disappeared and damned if it is not making me just a little crazy.
  • for my new copy of Tomorrow's God by Neale Donald Walsh, author of Conversations with God and providing the following quote:

It's all up to you. It all depends on how you answer the call. It all depends on whether you even hear the call. For the soul of humanity calls out today, "Who will be on humanity's team?"

I dont think I have read that book what you are quoting from.
I take citalopram I think I am looked down on by fellow AA members but its better than feeling that awful depression

Have a good search for your meds they will turn up!

Though the missing meds is a little more serious than usually - I do shit like that all the time. I swear my kids more shit around just to drive me crazy. I think they want me weaving baskets and making macaroni necklaces in that padded cell.
I hope it turns up.
I see you,
JJ
