IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Life is a series of things to let go of--our friends and loved ones, our children as they grow, our dreams, or our youth. Only we ourselves, our inner selves, are a constant to be found and learned about every day, in the present moment. ~Today's Gift
Today I am grateful...
  • for the lifting of the bondage of self, the bondage of alcohol, the bondage of nicotine, the bondage of food
  • for grace that allows me to live more authentically and lets me experience the blessings of this day
  • for being shown, through the program of AA, God's will and being given the power to live within it
  • for Randall's safe journey to Greece
  • for safety in numbers
When we say, "He's hard to get to know," we are talking about someone who doesn't show feelings. Team members express their feelings to build a bond between themselves and gain a familiarity with each other. A man may say, "I'm the sort of guy who doesn't do well in groups," or "I'm not the type to express my feelings." But for the sake of recovery, we must endure the awkwardness of learning new things. On this recovery team it is all right to come just the way we are, awkwardness and all. ~Touchstones

It is great to be out of bondage isn't it?

Love the quote from Touchstones. I was just told yesterday that I don't show much feeling, so maybe that's something for me to work on.
Thanks for sharing & have a great weekend!
