IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

The goal of spiritual practice is full recovery, and the only thing you need to recover from is a fractured sense of self. ~Marianne Williamson
Today I am grateful...
  • to have seen yesterday the results of someone carrying around so many resentments that after years of sobriety we can be taken down to the absolute bottom
  • that the noon meeting will be full due to today being a holiday
  • for the effect the movie "Crash" had on my yesterday. See it if you haven't.
  • to have positive passions today
  • that I got to sleep late this morning. Bunny had jumped off the bed and retired to his crate.
  • that three years ago today, a dear friend was experiencing his last day locked in his prison
We learn to be honest, no matter what-and we learn to refrain from doing things we might want to hide. We learn to accept responsibility for our actions. "It's mine" is replaced with a spirit of selflessness. These are the kind of values that help us become a responsible, productive part of the life around us. Rather than digging us deeper into a grave, these values restore us to the world of the living. ~NA, Just for Today

A prison without bars.
Or, is it a prison of bars?

That resentment "issue" is so powerful, it sends many of us back out.

I agree that Holiday meetings are fun too!
