- to have a purpose to life instead of running blindly away from fear
- for the comfort of walking through the halls of Lambda Center
- that Sonny's surgery was successful
- that though I still don't see myself as others do, the difference is getting slimmer
- that two friends yesterday told me they were having emotional hangovers and I saw a change in them before we finished chatting
- that we get well by being in the company of other alcoholics
- to be told by DR that if I go to a morning meeting and an evening meeting that I am not isolating. I love seeing/hearing the experience of those who have gone before me.
- to sit in a meeting with Boston's hand on my knee
-There is a purpose that fulfills you. Find and understand that purpose, and you will achieve great and meaningful things.
-There is a purpose that is you. But how do you uncover that purpose?
-Learn to let go of all the things that ultimately have no lasting meaning. Choose to look at life and to see what you know, rather than what others tell you that you should see.
-Look beyond the fleeting, superficial concerns of fame, fortune and fashion. Focus instead on building real and timeless qualities such as value, wisdom and love.
-Seek that which is real, that which has substance, and the purpose that is your own will become abundantly clear. Stay connected to that purpose, and experience its unmatched power.

Goosebumps have taken over my body and I am on the verge of a very good cry. The very first bullet was something that I can really relate to.
The simple things in life are what I live for now. The simple things are what bring me the most joy.
Thanks Scott, you knocked this one outta the ballpark.
Choose to look at life and to see what you know, rather than what others tell you that you should see.
LOVE this~
Thanks Scott
Your gratitude lists are always so deep and beuaifully written. I love the serenity you project each day by doing this.
I love your gratitude as well, always meaningful, sometimes whimsical.. Sober Chick is on the nose there.. I loev the bit at the bottom about having purpose, and not worrying about things that have no lasting purpose. I have been trying really hard nto to do that, which is why I awoke at 4:30 am, and am up blogging at 5:20 am
