IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Houston July 5, 2006

Take in the beauty of life without feeling the need to do anything about it. Know fully the extraordinary experience of being alive, aware, and accepting of all the goodness that is there to fill you.

Today I am grateful...

  • for the freedoms my friend Maude helped me discover
  • that today is Mr. HK's birthday! Go say hi. Currently Blogger has him frozen but he'll be back. It was great meeting him and Oscar!
  • that sometimes my sister knows just when to call
  • to have awakened during the night to the sounds of thunder and rain
  • for the SRO meeting yesterday on freedom. It was so good to be sitting in my chair again.
  • that Bunny had a good time in Baytown on his vacation, and seems to have matured a bit whilst (thanks Dave) there
  • that last night I was able to start writing about the NYC trip. I had to take some time to relax after vacation. I can't help it, I am sensitive and I have to recognize that.

Put a little distance between yourself and the confusion, dilemmas and anxieties that so often insist on grabbing your attention. Give yourself the opportunity to remember who you truly are.

Spend some time enjoying the quiet and profound beauty of being alive. It will fill you with a powerful energy that can add value to all you do.

Today's quote by Ralph Marston
