Today I am grateful...
- for Miss Wilma's typing class in the eleventh grade
- that Daave posted my thoughts without knowing it
- for recognizing there are actions to take to insure a healthy survival
- that my Higher Power keeps watch and nudges me gently
- that I am surviving a nameless funk
- that tonight is birthday night
It's often said that problem drinkers are perfectionists, impatient about any shortcomings, especially our own. Setting impossible goals for ourselves, we nevertheless struggle fiercely to reach these unattainable ideals. ~SS, pg. 41

Oh dear...that quote about setting impossible goals for ourselves and then struggling fiercely to reach these unattainable ideals sounds just like me!
Sorry I didn't make it to the 8:30 but I slept too late. I'll see ya tonight.
I apparently can live with my shortcomings. But it's very difficult to be the best I can be if I am practicing them.
Amen brother
ahh the old nameless funk, man I don't enjoy those... the good news is that this too shall pass.... what a relief it is knowing that we can just hang in there and let it pass...
peace to you my friend, hang in there!
