Don K, Dennis R (12 yr), Scott W

Today I am grateful...
  • that today Dennis R celebrates 12 years of sobriety
  • to have shared last night with so many recovering alcoholics and drug addicts over Mexican food. There were 30 of us at last count.
  • that I got to sit between Matt and my sponsor during the birthday night festivities. My sponsor picked up his 15 year chip.
  • that Bill R, one of the founding members of Lambda, picked up his one year chip after spending ten years out there
  • that Amber A got her two year chip and was celebrating with her partner and her mother
  • for the incredible recovery shared last night by all the celebrants
  • to spend some time at Dennis and Richard's for chocolate mayonnaise cake. The Scott W serenity garden out back looks fabulous. It's true, that's what Dennis named the garden.
  • that dAAve is always the nut, see pic below

Aren't anniversaries wonderful!? I cried Friday when a dear friend received her 20-year chip. Gives all of us hope, I believe.

Great, great pictures! Bill R sounds like a powerful story.

I go to meetings with a guy named Rich who had 24 years before going out again. He has a little over a year now.
