Today I am grateful...
- that although I do not know where this bruise on my bicep came from, I know it didn't happen during a blackout
- that this morning none of the furniture has mysteriously moved
- for lunch with Boston, where I saw and chatted with Luscious LaJuana and friend
- that we four had just been to recovery meetings
- that Dave and I will have a private tour of the Metropolitan Opera
- for yesterday's meeting that reminded me that my rememberer is broken
Most of the pain we experience comes from fighting, not surrendering. In fact, when we surrender, the pain ends and hope takes its place. We begin to believe that all will be well and, after some time, realize that our lives are much better as a result. We feel the same way we did when we gave up the illusion that we could control our using--relieved, free, and filled with fresh hope. ~NA Just for Today

I hate when that happens.......lol.
Happy Friday,
I see you,
JJ
When the South surrendered, the pain stopped. So did the fires in Atlanta.
me too ... :)
happy fridAAY
I'm having private tour envy.
It was good seeing you and Boston at Nidda--what did y'all have to eat? DR had the green curry and I had the red which was yummy. DR has decided that Alanon is what he needs--he has an AA friend who has been telling him that for years. I'm going to pass out leaflets at the gay pride thing this afternoon from 2 to 4 then go to a party and then the parade. If I don't get too wore out, I'll make it to the Lambda meeting--but don't hold your breath. The luscious One is NOT made of steel.
