It is wonderful how much time good people spend fighting the devil. If they would only expend the same amount of energy loving their fellow men, the devil would die in his own tracks of ennui. ~Helen KellerToday I am grateful...
- that the devil made me do it (most of you are probably too young to remember that)
- that today some of my demons are at bay
- that I will ask my higher power to remove the rest
- to be astonished at what the human mind will invent and then continue to believe
- for Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, it's a miracle!
Yesterday was not my birthday. Sorry for the confusion. It's June 29th.
Calvin: Do you believe in the devil? You know, a supreme evil being dedicated to the temptation, corruption, and destruction of man?
Hobbes: I'm not sure that man needs the help.

I do remember the devil made me do it and aren't those magic erasers the bomb. Are the dead coming back to life today or something.......lol.
I see you,
JJ
Of course, I am probably too young to remember anything about The Devil Made Me Do It.
Seeing the 666 from an attitude of gratitude does indeed make a big difference.
Having one's demons at bay is a true gift.
I'm with Hobbes, I don't think man needs help.......
what I've heard in meetings is, if I focus on the solution it gets bigger, if I focus on the problem, it gets bigger. I'll spend my day loving my fellow man, instead of fearing/fighting or hating the devil.
thanks for the great quotes and perspective!!
Puzzling question. A year ago I beleived there was no God. Today, is sooooo different. About the Devil, not sure, but things, ideas, perceptions can change. For now I have God and am grateful the this Faith is in my life.
Magic Marker, have not heard but sure can use something as such. I will take what you and JJ say about them and stock some up for those days gravity is working agianst me.
I wasnt able to leave a comment a little while ago
but good quotes...
good thoughts for the day thanks Scott
Love the Pope caption, how appropriate :)
Is that quote "Devil made me do it" from an old Laugh-In episode? Magic Erasers are a miracle!
And this gratitude "to be astonished at what the human mind will invent and then continue to believe". Very well put, and always a surprise for me.
Ah yes, Laugh in. I used to watch it in my Jamies with the feet
is this to be considered a comment?
