I am part of A.A., one among many, but I am one. I need the A.A. principles for the development of the buried life within me. ~Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Today I am grateful...
  • for the lazy moments I had over the holiday weekend
  • for the fantastic first step meeting yesterday at the nooner, a newcomer and a packed house that those kinds of first step meetings let me remember vividly what it was like
  • that daily I get to be surrounded with sobriety, both new and aged
  • for the unspoken language between friends
  • for the kindness of strangers

A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside. ~Denis Waitley

When you talk, you can only say something that you already know. When you listen, you learn what someone else knows. ~Unknown

I too am grateful for the lazy moments I had this holiday weekend. Am also grateful for my new job that I start Monday. I have finally found a job where I can be happy and where I see myself there until I decide to retire. Patience my friend, that's what it took.

Love you So,

So

"kindness of strangers", how I love this. Remembering when I walked into my first few meetings and those strangers turned into folks that helped save my life. The thought of this is still baffling to me. Makes me smile big gratitude smile just remembering this :)
