IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. ~Joseph Campbell

Today I am grateful...
  • that after running into that gaggle of cuteness at McDonald's we were thrilled when the flooring guys showed up to grout the living room. This one in particular: floor guy 4
  • for low maintenance friendships, the only kind I am interested in
  • to remember on this Memorial Day the alcoholics that have paved the path for drunks like me to find their way home
  • for the new topic on Sobriety Society
  • that the draft ended when I was eighteen

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost. ~Arthur Ashe

Is that really one of the guys doing work on your floor? WOW, they need to advertise their-selves. LOL.

Heros. I get sad that sometimes heros get confused with those that make lots of money -- or an NBA star that gets fine for breaking the law. Heros are right in front of us. I am so glad that I get to see true heroism in the fellowship.

Have a wonderful day!

I had to open that pic up to make sure that guy had legs. LOL. Legs or no legs, he could grout my tile any day.

as usual another wonderful post. thanks for being a constant. your consistency is inspirational to me - especially when I can't seem to get it or don't seem to... whichever the case may be.
