Today I am grateful...
- for the meeting Wade and I had on the road to Tiki Island
- that I did not have a heat stroke yesterday faux finishing the powder room. It was really HOT!
- for the gaggle of South Americans we sat across from at lunch. 7 of the most beautiful young men we ever laid eyes on (and their equally gorgeous girlfriends). Speaking of HOT!
- for Birthday Night at Lambda, for those celebrating and those there to support their recovery. We had eight one year celebrants!
- for Don K who celebrated 24 years last night. His compassion and enthusiasm for the program of AA inspire me daily. He also sent me the following great quote:
"I slept and I dreamed
that life is all joy.
I woke and I saw
that life is all service.
I served and I saw
that service is joy." -- Rabindranath Tagore

That quote by Catherine Ponder is so true. I have been having one hell of a time with one person. As much as I do the "Letting Go" thing he keeps coming back to occupy space in my head. And being as he is suppose to be a recovering fellow alcoholic I can't believe he hasn't even attempted to say sorry. I really really really want to confront him but I am really really really trying to LET IT GO.
I see you,
JJ
PS: As you can see he still plays a visit to my head
Oh, you are HOT too.
I still see you,
JJ
Hot men everywhere
I look if I dare
I know so little,
Yet see so much
I know that I'd better
Never, ever touch.
LOL...I love Dave's poetry. How about a haiku?
South America
The land of hot boys and men
Oh, don't tell their wives.
Bunny is the cutest, espicially sun bathing in the pool.
The resentment emotional link is so powerfully said. Thanks for posting this message.
I too enjoy seeing those take cakes, whether it is a year or in the double digits. Both are equally paramount and beautiful to see.
Have a wonderful weekend.
