Today I am grateful...
- that today my mind can wander and doesn’t go to those old dark and scary places
- that I am a homo in good standing
- that the founders of the Program, after wrestling with who was to be accepted, found they could turn away no one…
- they realized that to turn away someone because they were different could cost that person their life…
- they asked themselves ‘What would the Master do?’…
- then were asked, when they wrote ‘the only requirement for membership was the desire to stop drinking’, if they meant it…
- thus the Third Tradition was born
Now and then with a little time, we stop working one through nine. The price of recovery is eternal vigilance. Steps Ten, Eleven, and Twelve insure that we keep working One through Nine. I have found that the question, "What would the Master do?" applies to most things in life, especially when I don't know what to do on my own.
If only I could remember to ask myself that.

Trudge, I guess the only way I could lose it would be to drink again. Today I won't do that.
I like that "homo in good standing" too. I only associate with good standing homo's :)
