IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Have you visited Sobriety Society this week?

My drunkalog can be summed up very simply . . . "Nothing went the way I planned." ~unknown

Today I am grateful...
  • that I did not have to slap someone yesterday, they had already done that to themselves ;-)
  • for healthy interactions within the fellowship
  • to have heard a very short version of a 30 year member's story. Bob S sits just to my left at meetings, his easily spilt tears often give release to mine and let me know I am not alone.
  • to have been asked to tell my story on the 24th
  • that I am still working to find that easily accessible calm spot whilst in the middle of confusion, agitation or fear
  • that Neil Young has released an anti-war protest album
  • that God never stops trying to get my attention

Imagining ourselves happy and brave will help us feel both. Imagining ourselves as failures can be just as powerful. Let's respect the power of the imagination and use it to form good images of our future. ~Today's Gift

The rare and beautiful experiences of divine revelation are moments of special gifts. Each of us, however, lives each day with special gifts which are a part of our very being, and life is a process of discovering and developing these God-given gifts within each one of us. ~Jeane Dixon
