There will always be dreams grander or humbler than your own, but there will never be a dream exactly like your own...For you are unique and more wondrous than you know!~ Linda Staten
Today I am grateful...
- to continue to be shown ways I am /can be/was selfish
- that if I make even one judgment a day, that keeps me from being as close as I could be to my higher power
- that I have no doubt that my Mom knew how much I love her, today is the seventh anniversary of her passing
- that a gaping hole in my soul has been healed
- for a higher power that carried me when all I could do was lie face down
I must overcome myself before I can truly forgive other people for injuries done to me. The self in me cannot forgive injuries. The very thought of wrongs means that my self is in the foreground. Since the self cannot forgive, I must overcome my selfishness. I must cease trying to forgive those who fretted and wronged me. It is a mistake for me even to think about these injuries. I must aim at overcoming myself in my daily life and then I will find there is nothing in me that remembers injury, because the only thing injured, my selfishness, is gone. ~24 Hours a Day
I remember that the "alcoholic that still suffers" could just as well be an old-timer as it is a newcomer, my sponsor or my sponsee. ~Pocket Sponsor

I try to always remember that in my moment of silence, to make sure and look around and see if there is some one suffering "in the rooms" that I can be of service to....... thanks for the reminder and Happy Hump Day!
Amen, Amen! Never a truer statement:
"I must overcome myself before I can truly forgive other people for injuries done to me."

Your gratitude list are always so calming. You have a wonderful way with seeing your truth. I think we can look at ourselves at bash our imperfections and all the things we need to correct. We use the most harsh words to destroy our statue. You compose your words that presents a healthier way of looking at the entire you, and present a solution to it. Very inspiring!
