IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook. ~William James

Today I am grateful...
  • for the Divine Third in my life. (As mentioned in today's Twenty-Four Hours a Day meditation)
  • that the wall I had put around me to keep out sadness-the one that also kept out joy-has, in part, crumbled
  • for Bunny's affections. How great to be greeted with a twisting, jumping bundle of joy.
  • for this unseasonably cool morning
  • that blood work showed that I only have to lower my cholesterol 20 points. Since I got sober and especially since I quit smoking I have allowed myself to eat whatever and whenever I want. While waiting for the results yesterday I read in the 12 & 12 step three, a portent of things to come.
  • that I am still amazed that I will pick up the telephone when it rings

Choosing not to experience pain, anger, or other intense feelings could cause those feelings to become buried deep into your physical body. There, they may linger unresolved and unable to emerge, even as they affect the way you experience the world. Allowing yourself to experience all of your emotions rather than push the more painful ones away can help you come to terms with your feelings so you can experience them and then move on. ~Today's DailyOm

How wonderful to love and nurture your body == results -20 points cholesterol.

I bet Bunny does doggie cart wheels. I love those greetings from my furry budles.

I want a Bunny! Think the SPCA would take a trade in on an old cat. :)

Interesting! I was just reading your old posts and I got a note from you...you must have ESPN. Heh.

Anywho, as you mentioned, although I was somewhat coherent, the meth made me extremely long winded. Trust me....there was some big time editing on my part tonight when I chose what I wanted to share. That said, I have thousands of pages I wrote back during that time, and I plan on posting bits and pieces from time to time to remind myself of how bad things were.

I especially love the first quote, "The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook. ~William James"

Another way to put this is, "would I rather be right, or would I rather be happy"...
