IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

[T]he man with the grown-up brain and the childish emotions - vanity, self-interest, false pride, jealousy, longing for social approval, to name a few - becomes a prime candidate for alcohol. To my way of thinking, that is a definition of alcoholism; a state of being in which the emotions have failed to grow to the stature of the intellect. ~Experience, Strength & Hope, pg. 411

Today I am grateful...

  • for a Friday night to myself
  • for Cesar, the Dog Whisperer
  • for Chuck at AA Auto Care. Since someone hit my front turn signal light cover I had to silicone it in place, Chuck removed the cover, replaced the bulb and reattached it for only $15. It's nice to have a mechanic you can trust.
  • for the rain and storms that brought some cool temps this afternoon
  • that tonight is Birthday Night

If you hate the whole human race, yet demand it's approval at the same time...Welcome to Alcoholics Anonymous. - Charlie C

Love that quote from Charlie C.

Today, I am ranting about Bush.

One thing we know for certain: nothing will stay the same from day to day!
