IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

There is no more aloneness, with that awful ache, so deep in the heart of every alcoholic that nothing, before, could ever reach it. That ache is gone and never need return again. ~Alcoholics Anonymous, pg 276 4th Edition

Today I am grateful...
  • that I would seriously rather be happy than be right
  • for one of the most important tools I have, another alcoholic to talk to
  • for Murray State Univ where I burned the doors to the closet
  • for my HS art teacher, Jan Floyd, who constantly said to me ‘Go your own way, do your own thing’
  • for the cord that lets me come back to the body after dreaming
  • that it's pretty much ALL GOOD!

Now there is a sense of belonging, of being wanted and needed and loved. In return for a bottle and a hangover, we have been given the Keys of the Kingdom. (quotes:~Alcoholics Anonymous, pg 276 4th Edition)

Some day, on some planet, we're going to print the same exact quote from The Big Book on the same day. When that happens, Sonny shall experience an orgasm of The 6th Universe.

How wonderful for it not to be just me, myself and I. My curiosity is sparked by the gratitude point of burnt closet doors? Is this metaphorically speaking?
